New Member - Towing & Canopy Questions

Hi there,

I am new to the forum and was wondering if anyone could tell me:

1). If it is possible and how to hard / expensive it may be to upgrade my 08 Tacoma 4X4 Double Cab to pull 6500 lbs (as in the TRD kit) instead of standard 5000 lbs (non-TRD) that my truck is rated for. I assume it would involve adding a trani-cooler and changing the rear diff gears ?

2).Where can I get a good deal on a new or used canopy ?

I have an 08' SR5 Crew(Dbl) Cab 4X4 with Auto transmission.

I'm looking at purchasing a holiday trailer and am finding out if I had the TRD kit I would have more options due to towing capacity.

You can always post a Want to Buy (WTB) ad on here or craigslist for the canopy. They show up now and then on here
Also, if you post your question on the Towing section or 2GEN specific forum, you may get more views and answers....but Chris is on the spot
