Hello everyone. I am new to posting so please go easy on me if I break any posting rules. Tell me and I will not do it again. I am excited to be able to talk with other Tacoma owners. It is my first truck ever and only had it about 4 months. Love my truck but have check engine issues. Taken it to couple places who could not figure out what exactly was wrong. Decided if I want something done right I should probably do it myself. So here I am...

Try the secondary air pump... it's a common issue on the 12's

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
    Welcome to TW!

Definately need more info to help you though. As asked before, do you have (or have access to) a code scanner?

They can be had for relatively cheap... this one is only 20 bucks

Autel MS300 OBD2 Scanner Code Reader, Turn Off Check Engine Light, Read & Erase Fault Codes, Check Emission Monitor Status CAN Diagnostic Scan Tool https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PSH2XYP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_p.MPDb815AAB0

Or, some of us use a bluetooth plug in (plugs in to your OBDII port (under your dash) and then you can get real time info on an app (Torque Pro) on your phone.

This is the Bluetooth OBDII reader I use.

BAFX Products - Wireless Bluetooth OBD2 / OBDII Diagnostic Car Scanner & Reader Tool for Android Devices - Read/Clear Your Check Engine Light & Much More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005NLQAHS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_1bNPDbQFQDXAP

The Bluetooth + Torque Pro allows you to monitor a lot of things on your phone... this is less than 10% of what you can watch (along with reading check engine codes)
