    Hello All,

I just became a member today, but I must say that I have been perusing the site and have obtained a lot of valuable information. I recently had my truck lifted and it can go another 1.5 inches but I am still debating on whether or not to do it. Does anyone have more insight? I definitely like the height and I don't think I will do a lot of off-roading. It is a 2010 Prerunner with TRD package and I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons. Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Hey Mike,
Not sure what lift I got because I had it done at ORW. From my understanding, the spindle is what can be adjusted to max it out at another 1.5 inches, bringing it to a total of 6 inches.

I was told that it would affect gas mileage, but is that the only thing it would affect? I've read other posts and it sounds like the gas mileage is the biggest con?

Keep it at the height it is. It will ride much better that way. Welcome to TW!

You can put some bilstein 5100 up front and set them at .85 1.75 or 2.5

I guess what my question is, is what is the pros of lifting a taco 6"? Is it more for aesthetics or does it improve performance? What I want to know is why do people lift it 6" in the first place? Then what are the cons?

The pro is it will give you more ground clearence up front. The con is it will stiffen the ride a little and may be slightly harder to align...do you wanna lift the back more?

I would want the front and back to be equally aligned.
