Hi, I am Denny, a snowbird from Palm Beach county, Fl. and Bergen County, NJ. I owned a 08 Prerunner but traded it in a couple of months ago for a 09 TRD double-cab Sport. I am glad i did. After getting stuck for awhile in a ice hole in a parking outside a bar last winter, i swore that it would never happen again. I had to go in the bar and get a guy to move his van so that I could work my way out.

The Sport seems to be a much better truck then the Prerunner. The sport seats are made from a much better material. Plus, the 4 wheel drive and stability goodies should make a huge difference in the snow. I had a Extang tri-fold hard cover on the back of the Prerunner which I moved over to the new truck. The color matches my Timberland Mica paint on the new truck and looks real cool. i am waiting for the new Pop & Lock tailgate lock to ship. My old one from the Prerunner would not fit. I also received word today from the Toyota parts guy at my local dealer. He advised me to wait on getting a locking gas cap. He called the "powers to be" and was told that there are still seal leak issues with the Stant and that Stant is designing a new one.

I am glad to be here and read the posts every day, which are interesting and very useful.
