    Hello All,
First and foremost thank you to TC for welcoming me to Tacomaworld. I'm looking forward to sharing and learning about mods that we've done to our Tacomas.
This is my 2nd Taco. My first was an immaculate base model 4 X 4 double cab with a 6-speed manual trans. Loved that truck! Unfortunately I was recently T-boned and my Taco totaled. Broke my heart!
Enter Tacoma #2. A definite upgrade for me. The new ride is a 2017 Off Road double cab. Very happy with it so far. Have only done a couple of mods to it so far and am very interested learning from all of you in the hopes of doing more.
Just learning to navigate this site (not very tech savvy) so I hope you'll be patient with me.
Anyway I live here in New England with my wife and our Yellow Lab on the top of the mt. In a small cow town in Mass. We're hoping to move once I retire to Northwest Co. somewhere in Routt County. Love Colorado!
I work for one of the countries largest firearms manufacturers. Love to camp, raft, hunt, shoot, flyfish, work my dog(s) and mess with my Taco. That's pretty much me in a nutshell. Look forward to talking to you all.

Thank you all very much! Hope to have some pics to share with everyone soon. Wish I had taken some of my 2011 before they hauled it away.

Yes and no! I loved that truck. Made them find me a 2017 manual 6-speed. I'm a manual trans guy. Much more control when driving on slippery surfaces especially going down hill. Can't feather an automatic transmission. Shift much too abrupt for me on the snow covered hills in New England. But I gotta tell you the automatic trans version of the Off Road is a rocket! Passing gear is both amazing and surprising. Manuel just suits my needs more.

Auto is a very nice ride. If I could afford two I'd have one. You gotta love them both, they're great Trucks. Pickup in the auto is hands down better than the manual. Like I said by comparison the auto is a rocket. I wouldn't be disappointed for a 2nd, after all it's a "Tacoma!"
