    Hi everyone

After I retired in 14, I went on a 3 summer-fall camping trip to 50+ National parks and monuments in the US and Canada. Started my journey around 185K miles and ended around 265K.

Other than new all terrain tires and a new Toyota battery, I was good to go. Added a camper shell with a storage basket and roof top bike rack after the first summer to haul more gear.

Survived a few bear encounters in the wild in Alaska but otherwise everything was wonderful. I often travelled alone in some very remote places where I never expected to see anyone .... but everytime I did seen someone in the wilderness it was another Tacoma owner. We had good laughs over our Tacoma’s taking us places few would try to get too.

as an aside, I have only had to use my rear locking diff once and it was in the Bridger-Teton National Forest not far from the cabin where the 1953 western movie Shane was filmed. I have rarely used low 4 either.

I don’t have a lot of experience with 4x4s, but I am impressed with my Tacoma’s capability.... Or ..... maybe I’m not trying hard enough.

Now to my rear lights wiring issues .... I’ll find a thread on the board and post there.... or start a new one

    Thanks in advance
