Greetings all. Just picked up a one owner 2004 Tacoma with 150k on the clock. TRD package and of course a 5 speed manual. I got it because I have been too long without a play truck!

The mod bug is upon me so I'll be checking out the forums with keen interest.

    Welcome to TW

I’d throw on a set of new lower ball joints while you are modding. They are kind of a weak leak. Better to replace them early.

Thanks TnShooter. I have heard of that issue. Is it the design or stock ball joint? Are there stouter aftermarket options?

Back when I had my 1st Gen, stock OEM was the best.
You’d be better asking over in the 1st Gen section. I haven’t owns a 1st Gen for 17 years now.

I will recommend that you use thread locker on the bolts.
