I have a 2013 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 which the front brakes keep locking up. Changed all speed sensors, new calipers pads replaced master cylinder and bleed entire system. Drive it short distance and front brakes get hot. Did have a code c1336 which I deleted using scanner. I think maybe it maybe the abs module but not sure. It just happened without any issues before this. Totally confused!

Welcome to TW. Could be the actual caliper is sticking and not letting the brake pad retract or could be a bad flex hose, which would restrict flow of brake fluid leaving caliper, causing same issue.

My guess, without seeing the truck is your caliper needs to be replaced... If one side needs replacement then I would recommend replacing both sides.

Didn’t you replace the calipers? If so, did you make sure the slide pins are greased & slide as they should?

I interpreted this as "brake pads replaced". Did you replace the caliper and install new pads, or just intall new pads in the old caliper?

He didn’t use commas, so I assume everything listed was replaced.

When the brakes lock up you need to crack brake lines starting at the master cylinder and working out to the ABS module then to the wheel and see which one is holding the pressure. For example if you crack the line at the master cylinder and they release the it's either the master cylinder or not enough free play in the brake pedal linkage to the master cylinder.

    This ^^

You start at the brake pedal and move outward from there

Thanks to all. A little history about myself. My wife and I moved to Tennessee a little over 3 years ago. So the Tacoma has seen it share of upstate rust. The frame is not rusted with no holes in the body. 130,000 miles and runs great. I had to change brake lines to the back because of a fitting leak and discovered the lines were bad. Running into the same issues with the front. I cut the steel tubing and managed to get the fitting out. Seems the only issues with this truck is where the salt has got to lines and fittings. It was under coated for at one time. I'm the second owner so not sure how the truck was maintained new. Having said all that, lol, I'll continue changing the front steel tubing and rubber hoses. I'll keep all informed. Thanks again!

If you change the hard lines on the brakes, use copper nickel tube. It’s also known as Cunifer tube. It doesn’t rust and is easier to flair than steel.

Got the parts today. Hopefully I'll get it done tomorrow. If this doesn't work, back to the drawing board. Getting a little tired working on it being 74. Keep reminding myself of shop labor costs.
