From what I have read HERE and HERE they should be pretty damn close to hub centric with the lugs making sure everything is inline. I'm sure someone will correct me though.

Trying to get some confirmation on the info I received from Vivid Racing. I wanted to do 16” 701s on a 2018 Tacoma. Vivid checked with Method and was told they won’t fit because the 16” won’t clear the brakes.

    Anyone try a 16”?

No way for anyone to have tried them yet since they aren't out to the public yet. I did message Method Racing since I have 16" preordered and it would be a real bummer if they didn't fit. I hope to hear back from them soon.

Yup replied a bit early this morning. Realized after I posted that they’re not really in the wild yet. I don’t understand why there would be an issue with this wheel as Method’s other 16” wheels work.

I’m surprised Vivid didn’t tell you that before ordering. I emailed them and they replied saying they checked with Method.

Just got a call from Method. My wheels are ready for pickup. I’m out of town but I’ll post pics on Monday after pickup and install.

I didn't see what size you got, did you get 16" or 17"?

Are you going directly to Method to get them?

Any chance you want to do us a solid and ask if the 16s will fit on a Tacoma? I don't see why they wouldn't but confirmation would be awesome. I tried reaching out to Method and haven't heard back yet.

So I emailed Vivid back, who in turn spoke to their rep at Method directly. This is the reply as to why the 16” won’t fit on 2018 TRDs:

They stated due to the drop center and the spoke designs is why they will not clear the TRD pacakge.. If it was a standard model with the smaller brakes 16 would fit no problem.

So it sounds like a small spacer would make it fit? Not that I like running spacers but it's an option. @bajakerry said that he is going to the their warhorse to pick up his wheels and he is asking them there about the 16s. I haven't had good luck with Vivid before so getting a second option from the source will be great!

SO looks like the 16s WILL work on Off Road Tacomas. Got confirmation from Method themselves!

I do love how Method gives Vivid one answer and gives you another. Got to wonder.
