    First Post. Im in Albuquerque. 1999 Tacoma regular cab. 4 cylinder.

    Can someone direct me to where I can find a passenger side door latch? Not the door handle, the latch. I was quoted nearly $500 from Jims Automotive in Albq to order and replace the latch....I already have a new handle ($12.00) to be installed.

    I cant help but feel $500 is absurd.

    On parts like that.... Personally, if I had to replace important parts like that, I'd go factory...

    But other guys on here may have something better for you.... give'em some time

    I'd try a junkyard for the latch; $500 sounds ridiculous.

    As far as a shop goes, you might try The Speedlab on Eubank; they know what they're doing and are honest. They would at least give you an estimate to compare the other to. Brody Hooper runs that place.

    Edit - you could try Rock Auto to see what they want for the latch, too.
