    Thanks! I'm going to Carlsbad Caverns tomorrow, but Sunday I plan on working on it all day until I get it figured out. I'll use all of those methods.

    Dang, I wish I knew wire stuff like Scott. I was going to suggest a hammer. :eek: lol :D but seriously, if the electrical stuff doesn't work, i'd try tapping the motor body with a hammer to break the seal... :notsure:

    The very first thing I tried while out on the trail was tap it with a crescent wrench haha

    I think the pb blaster should help. Otherwise I'll just yank on it and try to slowly wiggle it off I guess. Scared to hit it much since it's aluminum.

    Hopefully. Yeah, don't want to crack it. Maybe try a heavy rubber mallet if you have one?

    well i read your locker issue. and it looks like those guys covered it pretty dam well! Maybe you bent something in there man. What were you doing before this all happened? Even if the motor isnt moving I can't believe you wouldn't be able to just slide it out with both tires off the ground freeing up that tension. I agree though that step one should be figuring if you can get that locker motor to make any noise and try to unlock.

    Drove down a trail and did some minor rock crawling for about an hour. as I was leaving I went to disengage and it wouldn't. Didn't put much stress on the locker that it shouldn't be able to handle.

    If the actuator is frozen into engage, it won't allow the locker to un-lock. So I'm hoping for no bent parts haha

    I'm going to test the wiring first, then if that's not the problem I'm going to remove the actuator from the axle and see if it can move by itself while not being attached. If I can manually disengage the locker and the actuator doesn't move while being free from any tension, then I just need to re-build the motor.

    I thought the problem was you couldn't free the actuator?

    or are you just going to pull the third and then try to free the actuator?

    I haven't even been able to remove the motor housing yet. Once I remove that I am going to manually disengage the locker as long as nothing is bent/broken inside.

    After that I am going to test the motor to make sure it actually turns. If not I am going to tear it apart and rebuild it.

    Not a uterus, good guess though. It's an '07 Yamaha fz6. Pretty mich a de-tuned naked r6.

    So I took the jeep out for a little ride today and met up with some nice buggies and toyotas on the Mesa. Watched a buggy go up the waterfall backwards then back down it backwards, then did it on the right side. He did it like nothing!
