Anyone interested in buying my stock 16" TRD Off Road wheels? None of them are bent or anything like that. Just a bit of rock rash... Also I took the TPMS out of them to put in the new wheels. I do also have an extra spair wheel and tire with a 265/75R16 mounted on it and that does have a TPMS.

My BoxRocket bed rack came in this past weekend. it's pretty sweet. Gotta make time to paint it.

Then Tuesday I got rear-ended on Unser in the rain. Totally F-ed up this guy's Corolla. But it actually straightened out my bumper where it used to sag on the driver's side from dropping the passenger side onto a rock.

I'm going to set up a mod day on an upcoming Saturday. I really need to get the rearend apart to replace those pesky wheel studs. Question for those with lots of rearend experience: Do i need to have any special tools on hand? I've never pulled the axles before.

Nice rack man! What are your plans for it? RTT? Spare? Extra storage?

Good seeing you the other day, you looked stoked to be going to pick up the rack and rightfully so!

Good work on improving your bumper in the accident, that is always a plus!

It's mostly for extra storage. RTT will be way off in the future. When we go camping and stuff the cab gets too full. I have some big ammo cans for waterproof storage that i can put up there now, leaving more room in the bed for other stuff.

That guy also cleaned my bumper some when his car puked washer fluid every where.

Brake bleed kit since you are pulling the axle all the way out. Otherwise, floorjack, jackstands, ratchet, various metric sockets, gear oil and grey RTV.

Nice! I have been looking at racks mostly to put a spare and gas cans on (for camping and adventures) and still have the bed available.

May have to have BoxRocket fab me up something soon.

Might want to pick up some new axle seals and replace the old ones. I've heard the axle seals tend to go after 100k miles. I did mine when I pulled my 3rd. Make sure they are the right ones. You'll need a press or appropriate sized race and hammer to bang it in.

Fuck. This is getting expensive. And how do you make sure they're right?

I don't think "soon" is going to happen. Not complaining but it took a while to get mine, it's a hobby for him.

I guess soon is the wrong word, this fall/winter would be ideal. That is good to know though. The fellas over at CBI can fab me up something too with quick turnaround so that is another option for me.

Anyway, looks awesome man, can't wait to see some paint and gear on that thing soon!

the brake bleed kit you can make from a 20oz soda pop bottle and some hose.

Silas has the right size race and a BFH.

The seals should be around $10/pop. Can pick up Timkens at Autozone or go to the dealership. Just make sure they know you are asking for the seals for the axle housing and not the wheel bearing.

I have Cloudy's jackstands and need to return them. Since you live close by, can make arrangements if you need them.

Gear oil should be $10/bottle and you'll need 3 of them. I've got one or two left over from my diff job, you are welcome to them.

The grey RTV is $6 at Autozone if I recall correctly. If I still have it, can have the rest of what I had. Should be more than enough.

You don't have to do the seals, just a good bit of preventive maintenance since you'll have it apart. Just be mindful when taking out and putting the axle shafts back in that you don't mangle the seals.

I should be able to help if it is a weekend. Going off-roading on Aug 24 and Sep 1 but otherwise no plans. I'll be out working on my truck this weekend if you want to bring it by or pick up stuff.

Hmm seals are cheaper than I thought. I have two BF jackstands 6 ton I think and four 3 ton ones. Have floor jack and a Hilift. Have hand tools. Looks like I'll need the fluids. Seems like a good time to install my brake line extender kit too possibly.

You're too generous. Let me chat with the wife and see when we can do it. Probably sooner than later. I'll put up a Mod Day post when it's more solid.

I'd rather see this stuff get used as opposed to winding up in the landfill. Also, I can bring the SWR meter and get your CB tuned up the same day.
