    Do this but run a jumper from 7 to 8 and the red light should turn on.

    To test if the red light comes on at all, switch the W/B wire to #8 while leaving the others the same (Blue -> 2, Green -> 6, G/W -> 3) and see if both the fogs and the switch light come on when you throw the switch.

    ok, something isn't right but at least the switch works for the fogs. Only other thing I can think of is switch #2 and #3 w/ W/B on #8 and see if the switch lights up and the fogs still work.

    Probably just need someone with more automotive electrical experience that can get their hands directly on it.

    nope didn't work. blew my last fuse some im done trying for now. now have to figure out why my dash lights and ac control lights wont come on now. any idea what could be the issue.
    I don't want to take it to Toyota and have to deal with them saying me messing with the wires for the fog light caused it not to work and voiding my warranty. but I will see what bs they come up with.

    Did you check both the fuse box in the engine bay as well as the fuse panel in the cab?

    You check the fuses with an ohmeter, not just visually?

    You can put 12V on one side of the fuse and see if you have it on the other.

    Might want to check the panel and the box to see if you can test the fuse in place this way.

    Otherwise, if you have to pull the fuse to check it, be careful not to ground out the negative side of the fuse. You'll pop it in the process.

    If the dashlights are on a relay, might want to check it. No idea if a relay for dashlights even makes sense but would be something to check.

    Yeah, if you find out for sure what the colour codes are, should be able to wire it up easy-peasey.

    ya we found a diagram for the stock oem fog switches but they didn't make sense to have a ground wire to connect a circuit. but im going to have a friend look and then just take it to a dealer to have them tell me its my fault.lol

    OK, my best guess (since the 2 pictures don't use the same terminology)

    Green -> 6
    G/W -> 7

    This should get the lower light turned on when the dashlights are on. And if it is in series with the dashlights, may get the dashlights functioning again.

    From there, the diagrams don't jive.

    Blue is hot so I'm not sure why it is listed as "Pin 85 Fog Relay" but given that it is hot, according to the switch diagram Blue -> 2

    That leaves B/W -> 3 then the fogs should work when the switch is in the "ON" position.

    Then 8 needs to be tied to ground to get the electrons flowing across the top bulb when the switch is in the "ON" position.

    But, again, the terminology in the two diagrams don't jive so I'm making a best guess.

    Speaking of dashlights, the left side of my instrument cluster is dimmer than the right. Just started today so I have to tear everything back apart. I'm hoping I accidently twisted the dimmer knob, otherwise have to find the faulty connection or bulb.
