Had a scare today with nasty smelling smoke pouring out from under the hood. Thought for a second that I was gonna have to use mod money for repair money. Turns out that the flimsy rubber "fender liner" on the drivers side wheel well came undone and rolled itself under the manifold which was burning it to brittle little pieces.

Took me a while to figure out what was going on and was in full panic mode. Looked through the engine bay with flashlight and couldn't see anything, looked from underneath with a flashlight and couldn't see anything, and then finally spotted something that looked strange and found the culprit.

I am really happy that it was something simple and not an engine issue. It scared me enough to pour some money into the repair fund for the future.

Goodness man. Hopefully that was it... Why didn't you take all that crap out when you put on your bumper?

That part doesn't need to come out with the bumper install, it is flimsy and kind of goes around the side of the UCA and that area.

It's ok though, all of that fender liner crap will be gone soon...

Ha! Reminds me of the time I got a shopping bag wrapped around the driveshaft and it kept whacking the muffler. Clean up was a pain.
