So I guess I am going to need a diff drop??

 

The 883s are the same height as the 881s but stiffer. I'm guessing you can install them, check the angles and run it that way for awhile until you get a diff drop ordered if needed/wanted.

 

copy, what are we talking 1.5-2in lift?

All I know is it has to be better than what I have.

 

Wheeler's Offroad says the 881s provide 1.75-2" of lift so guessing the 883s will provide 2"-2.5" due to being stiffer. Everything I've read says you don't need a diff drop kit until you get above 2.5" and having run the OMEs for awhile, I think they will be closer to 2" than 2.5". OME is conservative on how much they want to change the geometry.

Silas made a diff drop out of some longer than stock bolts he picked up at Lowe's and a bunch of washers. Will get you by in a pinch until you get a solid puck one ordered or fab'ed.

I know I got quite a bit of weight up front but I'm running 882s (2cm taller coils) with a 1/2" top plate spacer and I've considered getting rid of the drop diff kit. The angles aren't too bad.

You're front end will stiffen up a good bit with the heavier rated coils. They are made for guys running the ARB bumpers and a winch.

If you live on the west side or the heights theres not much to worry about either. Im sure you know that the ghetto is next to every base so try not to live too close to base (my opinion). Crime is anywhere and everywhere, just dont piss people off haha

 

yellow = caution. When out, be in an elevated level of alert. Know your surroundings, pay attention to what is going on.

Im in a house right now.... if you look up Gmaps its in the San Mateo and Montgomery area.... not the greatest place to live but I have to make do until I PCS. I USED to live on the west side... The Aspen's Apartments.... which were awesome... If you look at most apartment complexes they actually have spacious garages to work in (with an added fee of course)... All up to you and how much $$ you want to spend

 

I always keep good SA (situational awareness) so I can avoid using my SA (sidearm) which is SA (single-action).

 

Maybe we should schedule another food meet... We all haven't been together in awhile

 

The offroad meet for Nov 9th doesn't seem to be gaining any traction so maybe a dining meet is needed instead.
