Looks like a good and productive time! Did Kyle just need bushings lubed or did you have to remove the UCA's?

had to remove the UCAs to hammer out the bushings and apply a thin and uniform layer of grease to the bushing surfaces. Voila! no more squeaks.

zerks are almost worthless in some applications. No place for the grease to go.

Gotcha, that's no good. At least it isn't that bad of a job to get the UCA off. I had to do the same thing recently, but had to replace the bushings as several of them had ballooned even when I loosened the assembly to grease them. Oh well, such is life.

Still no wheel bearings in hand, hopefully they will get here this week so I can get that knocked out next weekend.

The truck even drives so much smoother now. It's crazy. Thank you so much to Tom for the garage and AJ and Silas for the help!

Also thanks to Scott for the better way of doing a rear lead pack install as well!

    Great job

Also thank you for the food Tom!

Wait until you try it off-road. I noticed a huge difference when I got my UCAs mounted. Everything seemed way smoother and more controlled roaring through the Puerco bed.

I guess I'm maturing. Very happy you guys got your stuff taken care of. Figure I'll get my stuff done here in the next month. Take some time off from work and enjoy the zen of wrenching for a good long week.

I got a bonus coming in soon. Was saving it to buy new seats. Looks like I might be investing it in the start of a complete shop instead.

Not sure what kind of detail you need. Basically, building up the home garage so I can handle whatever kind of work I want to do to the truck.

floor jack/jack stands/transmission jack/ maybe an engine hoist.
    air compressor and tools
complete set of hand tools in a nice shiny roll-away
pullers and various other specialty tools
a vice and maybe a press

Probably need to start by buying a house with a decent sized garage first.

Those are on my list for sure.. especially since I can't even jack up my own truck with my little jack for obvious reasons

I've got most of those tools. I just need a press, bigger air compressor, and bigger welder. Possibly a tube bender as well :spy:
