Its suppose to be a four due to my base mission. But with how things are going, no one knows what's going on. No time for wheeling unfortunately. Hopefully when I get back I can do some trails with you guys, been lacking on that one

New Taco owner in Santa Fe. Looking to hit some trails with my boy some weekend, maybe up here part of the state to begin with. Anyone thinking of some not too extreme wheeling before October rolls in?

Sweet, I will give that route a try. There is another I am planning - runs behind Espanola, maybe 456, not sure. Went down it when I had picked up my '86 Nissan D21 about 6 years ago, smoked my clutch (DOH). Somewhere back there is some abandoned buildings, and old apple orchard, and some kind of cliff that scares the crud out of my wife :)

Hey guys, anyone interested in AR-15 magazines? I have 20 and 30 rounders that I will be selling between 5 and 10 bucks.

That is the name. A pretty fun jaunt. I am thinking of making a day out of it - stopping to grill some dogs or burger or two, that kind of a thing. There are some fun little stops where that would work out.

I am still working out the route, where to come in and go out kind of thing, so will post it up. Company is welcome! My Taco still has the original belts and hoses, so they are all 17 years old (!) so my first mission is to replace all those, and then put in some new shocks. So I am thinking mid to late Sept for this to give me time to work through all that.

Below are options for a route - if we want to include 456 or just loop through 31 mile road. TBD.

Or better yet run Santa Clara Creek Road off 31 mile road. I think that is where the cliff drive is, but it has been 6 years since I was there, so I will square it all up and post back.

Remove mudflaps, Plasti dip badges/ lower val/ and grill, Plasti dip wheels, 5% tint all around, Tinted tails and 3rd, 55w driving lights in rear, Blue LED light strip in bed, Blue LEDs in cab/ cup holders...
You could also stay on 31 and come out at Coyote or head west and see Cuba.

That's the place! And it may have been Coyote we entered from last time I was there - exited the Espanola side. So I am thinking of this same route coming up. Thing is:

I picked up this amazing Taco last week from a family friend for only $3k - 125,895 miles on it, amazing condition. He told me the receipts for the tires are in the glove, not sure if the warranty will transfer, yada yada. Yesterday I actually look at the receipt. Sweet, they were put on at 111,000 miles, so only 15k on them. And then I see the date. 2005. In the past 9 years he put only 15k miles on the truck!! So I go and examine the tires closely this afternoon and as you would guess... some dry rot along the side walls and where the tread is bound.

Poor guy has bad diabetes that has caused massive foot problems in the last several years, so he basically stopped driving this manual since he can't feel his feet and were getting them caught up in the clutch/brake/gas pedals. So way fewer miles on the truck, but a lot of time sitting idle as well.

So now I really need to change all the 17 year old hoses and belts and need to change these tires as well. Considering we moved the daughter off to college last week, and just bought this Taco... remember that old '80s commercial for Wendy's where the old woman yelled "Where's the beef?!" Well, I can yell "Where's my cash?!" :)

If I can manage to get all the hoses, belts, shocks and tires replaced in the next month and not go flat broke doing it I will plan to do this trip!

Um, oops. Apparently, I scared the shit out of some dude that was totally not Loudpedal.

If the driver of a silver/gray xtra cab 1st Gen that was startled a bit by someone saying "Hello" a little exuberantly happens to be lurking here, I apologize.
