Hey guys, just checking in. It's been a while. Have some big things in the works... I've just been working in the land Rover. But soon I'll be dropping a custom built, blue printed super charged 5vz, with lots of extras into a 4Runner... Some of you have seen it, and some will be jealous of it... Maybe some time soon you will see it...

There has to be someone here in ABQ who wants to upgrade. Cleaning out my garage and I want to get these gone. Any reasonable offers?

Hi everyone. I am interested in having a detroit truetrac limited slip installed in my 2006 prerunner. Does anyone have any recommendations for a shop in Albuquerque to do the install?
I know 4 wheel parts can do it. But it seems like a diff / transmission shop might be better? I also called a shop that I have had some maintenance done on a couple cars, and they paused and said "We could do that". Not in a really confidence inspiring way.

I've had good luck with New Mexico gear and clutch. They should be able to handle that easy.

Thanks for the help Nickel! A gear and clutch shop sounds perfect. I will call them later today for a quote.

    Somebody killed a policeman today,
And a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect who shot him will stand up in court,
    With counsel demanding his rights,
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids
And spend alone many long nights.
The beat that he walked was a battlefield, too,
Just as if he'd gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
It happened in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now, his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And he stands at each new rookie's side.
He answered the call and gave us his all,
And a part of America died.

With the week this city has experienced, I hope the Mayor and City Council get their collective act together and start addressing the decades-long APD staffing issues. Next up, the court system needs to be fixed so repeat offenders don't get released on technicalities. This will cost money. Money this city and state don't have much of, but we'll never become a better place by allowing this sort of behavior to continue.

I could go on, but the appropriate thing to do is to express my deep condolences to his family and colleagues, and offer my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your post @WildLand. I forwarded to someone close to me who works at the county 911 Call Center who was also very touched.

    Question ----
Went outside just now (10:30pm) and I heard an electric motor buzzing sound. It appears that it was my fuel pump. I have a new to me 13 dc sport. I grabbed my keys. I turn the key to acc and the pump quit buzzing on its own. Turn off the key and it's quite.
Should I be concerned? I've never heard of a fuel pump on a vehicle running on its own.
    It's weird to me.

    Thanks

You really think this senseless murder had ANYTHING to do with APD staffing issues? C'mon man... this has to do with the POS "justice" system we have in New Mexico. You know the murderer had 8 other felony charges which never went to trial?!?! (All Nolle Prosequi).

I never said the justice system wasn't part of the problem. But the fact that APD is understaffed? Yeah, I do.
