The event was great but they needed to be more organized. Getting out of the parking lot was a "blast". Took two hours to get to the hotel.

I was at Twin Peaks watching the outdoor big screen they had set up and was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the crowd was. I'd expected to have to keep a low profile to stay out of harms way and actually ended up having a good time. Not sure how it was other places, but I assume since Holly won that it really helped keep the after crowd cooled off.

So some might remember that I went from a 2000 Tundra to a 13 Rubicon only to go right back to a Toyota. Well while I had my JK I bought a full seat of seat covers from Trek Armor who changed their name to Bartact (legal issues over name). I contacted Mitch who replied that they are in fact working on making them for the Tacoma. They are ballistic grade form fitted covers with a full Molle system. I haven't been able to find anything that even comes close. They are completely water and mud proof. When I had the jeep I ran topless and when dirty I just sprayed them off with a garden hose and a rag. I never even needed soap to clean them. I had mine on for a full year and they never failed in the slightest.

Guess what, Mitch at Bartact hopes to release them for the Tacoma in about a month.

    Here's his reply to me---

Thanks for the email. Good to hear from you, but sorry to hear about your JK. We're currently working on Tacoma seat covers right now for SOCOM and the Navy Seals, and they should be ready for production by the beginning of the year. Can you follow up with me in about a month?
Thanks, Mitch Walk Bartact/Trek Armor 951-319-4008

I posted in the NM Adventure thread that I would love to get out and do something the weekend of the 5th and 6th. I don't know where you would go get trees though...
