I don't load for 40, but I have picked up a lot of cases in that caliber; I'll take them if no one else wants them. :)

I'm really only posting because our thread had fallen pretty low in the SW sub-forum lately. :bananadead:

It really has gotten pretty slow recently. Anyone planning anything outside coming up in the next few weeks?

If anyone is interested. Gracie Barra is doing bully prevention classes through out April. Free for your kiddos. Great place!!! They have a bunch of locations around town. I go to the one on San Pedro ND can vouch for them for sure!

I've been working 7-day weeks for a bit; the $$$$ is good, but I don't have much free time. I think my AC compressor has spent too much time under water and/or mud, so I can use the $$$ to get that fixed. Gonna need good AC soon. :violent:

    I forgot to mention...

Harvey, my dominant male Desert Ornate box turtle came out yesterday! Pretty early for them, but it's been unseasonably warm. He looks healthy & belligerent, so he's probably OK. You never know if they'll make it through the winter in hibernation. I think the juveniles are up, too, but they haven't done anything but excavate a small breathing hole where they buried themselves last year. Time to go buy some fishing worms for 'em! :bananadance::dancingbacon::broccoli::kona::sandwich:

Nice! We have three desert ornates and they all came out two weeks ago due to the warm weather. Just in time to go find an above ground hole to snuggle into. Two of them seem to be back in hibernation mode and one's pretty darn sleepy most of the time.

It's supposed to dip down to freezing the next couple nights so hopefully your brood has a place to hang where they can get some warmth.

They've been pretty good about keeping underground when they need to; box turtles have been around for millions of years without changing much, like sharks & crocodiles, as you probably know. I always get a thrill seeing them for the first time in the Spring. :)

Yeah, I keep telling myself they can take care of themselves, but since they're our only pets, I baby 'em. Have to remind myself I'm dealing with an animal that has a brain the size of a pea, most of which is taken up with instinctual behavior. For some reason they refuse to play fetch.

Anyone know where I can get my cab mount chop done? I'm putting some new gears in and have a 35"s waiting to go on. Called desert rat they don't have any good welders there and I'm not sure if I trust 4 wheel parts.

I work with TAV. There are to many customer vehicles that are in the works for any spare time for my truck to get any time on the lift. I was hoping there were another shop that anyone has had a good experience with.

When do you need it done and do you have plates already?

So I went offroading the other day and put some good scratches/dent into my back right fender, bed panel and a little under the bumper. I am trying to decide whether or not I want to fix it yet and how I will go about doing it. Will I claim insurance on it and pay my $500 deductible? Will I pay out of pocket and take it to a body shop? Or will I wait few months and place a Pelfreybilt high clearance bumper which will essentially get rid of everything. The only thing is I can't decide if I actually want to even get a bumper like that or just a "regular" steel bumper. Has anyone here scratched their truck from offroading and gotten it fixed? This is my first Tacoma and have only had it for almost 2 months.
