So who's got some experience dropping manual trans on a v6 taco?? Had a shop do subpar job, I don't trust them to take a look. Maybe will wait until the weather gets better, but I know I'm gonna need to pull it...

Alright fellas got a question. So my leafs aren’t doing super well I’ve got some negative arch (see pic below).

I’m thinking about starting to piece together an eventual lift but starting in the rear with some Dakar leafs med/heavy duty. Buuuut will the stock TRDOR struts fit for the time being or will I need to get something else at the same time?

I am planning to be there. Old dude with an old truck. :turtleride:

I'm partially deaf, and have no memory left, so it will be a bit of a challenge for me.

Hey guys! I just finished up two months of dispersed camping in New Mexico. I wanted to say hello and keep an eye on this thread for when I come back in the Fall. Are there any other NM threads? I was based out of Santa Fe and did some wheelin' out back around Tetilla on BLM land and then plenty through Cibolla/Gila (as mentioned, pretty easy-going other than snow).

near the peak of Elk Mountain during a snowstorm:

A REALLY cool site was San Lorenzo Canyon. Its a slot canyon between ABQ and Socorro. I dont know if they want you driving on the rocks there, but it was a good stop off.

a Quicksand in the White Sands

It sure was loaded when I got there! Couldn't get into a campsite (snow blocked), so motored on the rest of the way to Carlsbad. It was all private land on the backside of the range. :(

Btw, it wasn't here, but a very similar high elevation site near Taos.. Angels Fire. I got totally stuck in the snow. There were no fresh ruts to drive in and started spinning. Tried digging myself out to no avail. Dropped psi, still no luck. Gave the ol' crawl control its shining moment and holy shit... jerked the wheel side to side a bit and rolled right out of it! Hot damn!!

Thanks for all of this! I saved it as a reference. Gordy's Hill looks great from the pictures you all took not too long ago. I'd be down to go there!

Lastly, if ya'll are interested.. Just dropped a video of the first half of my time in New Mex

If you're just here for truck stuff.. wheelin' on some BLM happens @7:05

Sorry its a long post.. just an introduction and some shameless promotion! Carry on :drunk:

Looks like I maybe the first one here but parked in the back lot and sitting near the stage.

Slipped right into the trash can. :( Crap, I wanted to go, just forgot about it. When you get old, if it's not part of your routine, it can get missed. I'll have to come up with a system for keeping track of this kind of stuff. Maybe an alarm on the phone or something.

I'll be 62 next month; it's gonna keep getting worse.
