Hey guys I’m fairly new to the thread. I live in Albuquerque and I’ve got an mgm 2015 short bed double cab that I want to put a scooped hood on. I have been hoping to find someone that has one and is willing to trade hoods and I would throw in some cash. I can find some online but shipping and paint make it a terrible deal! Thanks in advance!

    Haven't yet picked one :O

Idk what height will allow me to run 285/70/17R s yet, I am getting mixed reports, so idk if I could get away with Fox or King 2.5" or if I need 3" from somewhere.

running 285's is less about lift and more about angle/rubbing.. def. need to a little chopping on the body? 2-3" will do the trick , but going to have to cut up some. I was going to go the 285 route, but went with 265/75's after some thought.. and not wanting to cut up the body yet.

I think an offset definitely helps , I think some have gotten away with not doing the whole CMC And just pushing back the weld above the body mount with a lift...but I guess its all about which rims you use then.

Here's mine on 2" up front 1" rear..Arb shocks up front OME 2887 coils and pro comp add a leaf in rear

There are guys in here with much more knowledge of the 285 fitment though ... i just did alot of research and came close but decided the difference wasn't worth the headache right now

Wonder what quality of work? Still with a CMC on default suspension would require some trimming for sure eh?

Yea i don't think you're getting 285s under there without some pretty significant work....pretty sure you're not doing much more work to get 35s in there.

Not sure about the quality of work but I also don't think its too big of a deal if you're descent with a cutoff tool..welder and can of spray paint

I was talking with another member the other day about CMC. He’s looking at purchasing the total chaos plates and getting it done in the backyard. I’ve got a buddy that’s a welder for his day job that would be happy to help. Just an option if anyone is interested.

I’ve had SpC before.. I’m leaning towards JBA 3deg caster this time. Anyone here had luck on them?

High caster has worked well on the Tacoma sitting on 255s.

I know that a set of JBAs needed to be replaced on Fins and Things. It made for an interesting adventure rebuilding the truck on the trail

I have the JBAs and they do great. I run them pretty hard with fox extended travel and have had no issues.
