Chop or relocation ? @Taco505 said he has a friend that could weld the chop for you. Also you could probably grind the end off yourself to save some money too.

From what I’ve read it looks like the relocation is the cleaner option?

A relocate will be more work and might not be necessary. I would say buy your lift, tires, and wheels then find out where you rub and adjust from there. I don't think everyone rubs with 285s on a 3rd gen so I wouldn't trim unless i had to and knew exactly where it was needed.

I have an Alpine Designs relocation kit i bought for my truck but never got around to doing. I can sell it to you for $100 if you're interested. I probably paid closer to $150.

yep I’m definitely into that, how much is a relocate as opposed to chop? Im wondering too what is “better” for the truck?

If you plan on doing 35s do the relocation but if not the chop would be easier did mine in about 2 hours

I’ll just do the chop, did you do the chop yourself ? I’m going to order the lift wheels and tires this week and then say how’s much rub there is, then assess from there

Yes sir I did it myself it’s pretty simple. Total chaos has a good video on doing it and the pinch weld also. Most of my rub was from the inside of my fenders. Only rubbed the cab mount in reverse and tight turns. I did mine after my lift as well

Do you any you guys use a ram ball mount setup for your phones/tablets/gps/ whatever? You like it? I have a 3d printer, and working on making a mounting plate area above the headunit... just wanted to know if anyone has a similar ish setup.

I have one and it does its job of holding the phone securely. The issue is taking the phone in and out, it requires 2 hands. Would probably be less of a chore if I would use google assistant to text and call.

What's the fun in that when you can just text and drive instead ... Do you use a rail on your dash for it or do you have the pillar mount?

I’ve got the “Balls out off-road ram mount” and I rigged up a wireless charger to work with the ram mount. It works great and I can remove my phone with one hand haha.

I did the pillar mount. I like it for running maps and don't use it for much else.

Ya it works well and definitely pretty solid I've had it installed a little over a year and no issues.

I'm not sure which is stage 2 but i have the fox extended travel 2.5 front without reservoirs and 2.0 rear with reservoirs. I'm on stock tuning and there was a noticable improvement over stock. I only got about a 2" lift in the front tho. I recently added a BAMF front bumper without a winch and am at maybe 1.5" lift now. I'll be upgrading coil springs as soon as I get the winch in.

Figured out what coils you're planning on going with yet?

Nope not yet. I'm stalling because I want to see how much it will sag once the winch is installed.
