Decided to go ahead and do what’s called the “viper cut” before the new tires go on.

I don’t necessarily think it looks better than stock, but at least I shouldn’t have to worry about rubbing the bumper.

Finally got new tires and wheels on. Completely changed the look of the truck. Performs pretty nicely too :D

Drove up to this overlook to test out the clearance of the new tires and get some better pics.

None so far. Waiting for installation on suspension lift kit date to arrive and rock sliders to arrive as well.
Hi everyone! I’m brand new to this page! I bought a Tacoma TRD Off Road over the summer and love this truck! I’m waiting for my installation day to arrive so I can put the accutune suspension lift on it. Currently this kit is sitting in my garage (how sad). Installation is still over a month away. Where have you gone for your lifts? Or did you do it yourself? Anyway I’m sure I’m going to have a lot of questions and will be looking to you guys for suggestions/tips/advice!!

Welcome! I highly suggest installing it yourself if you have the tools to do so. Or maybe somebody on here is local to you and can help. Saves you money and helps you learn more about your new truck.

Hi everyone, new to the site.
I also got a TRD off road this summer. I've had it for less than two months now.
I'm currently living in Santa Fe. And have had a couple of road trips within the state.
I plan to lift the truck with Fox 2.0s in the front hopefully in the near future.
I'm also adding the TRD skid plate this weekend, should be easy.
Anyway, nice to meet you all.

Looks great what size tires did you go with??

Welcome! I don’t have any good recommendations for a shop to install but depending the kit and where you’re at a few of us would be happy to help you out.

    Awesome, welcome!!

Is anyone near Santa Fe and might have a code reader? I’m stranded in the sams club parking lot and have no idea what to do

If there is anyone local to Albuquerque who would potentially be willing to help, I would graciously accept. We are installing the Fox 2.5 DSC. It is Accutune's offroad 4A Fox suspension kit. Looking at installing on Tuesday 10/13. We will have access to bay with lift on base, just don't have the experience. Thank you guys so much!!!

***Sorry for the double pictures....I don't know how to make it only show up once!***

Ended up getting a tow back down to Albuquerque, truck is at Larry h Miller so hopefully they can take care of it there and get it fixed soon. Check engine light came on and the trac off light is on. Truck is stumbling and shaking every time it comes to a stop

I think i saw you in jemez today. Nice trailer!

I'm not sure how many people will have access to the base or be available on a Tuesday. That kit will take a while to install so make sure you start early. If you run into problems don't be shy about posting up and hopefully one of us can point you in the right direction. If you haven't install a lift before, make sure you pull the ABS wire out of the way when doing the front coilovers and you will need channel locks or something to press in the rubber bushings in on the rear shocks.
