I see now you have a first gen. Not sure if that trick works in first gens? I assume but, dunno. Before this I had a 2000 regular cab that I beat to all hell. No mods. 350k miles when I sold it. I miss the small size of those trucks. Second gen still feels big to me.

thank ya! oh totally a bump in power from the 1st gen.

1st struggled with the 33's on stock gears. 2nd has literally the same tires (swapped em before selling the 1st) and stock gears and the truck almost doesnt notice they are there. the 4.0L contains a fair bit of sauce

My 2.7L has no sauce whatsoever; it's just plain macaroni. :turtleride:

Well thats definitely nice. The GFs 3rd gen runner feels likes its got a bunch of power compared to my 2.7L so I can only imagine the 4L haha.
I'll race you for slips :turtleride::burnrubber::turtleride::rofl:

Mine got even more slow when I put the heavy bumpers on, and the taller tires are a challenge for the ol' Golden Goat as well. I'd have gotten the 3.4L V6, but it wasn't available in 2004 in a standard cab. :(

I just noticed that the Southwest region on this forum is the last U.S. region, just ahead of Canada and Guam. :bananadead:

A few months back I picked a new set of 255/85R16 Cooper ST MAXX and never got around to using them. Anyone else here into tall skinnies?

Put them up on CL last night for $1000

Who in abq knows a machine shop that will mill down some spider trax spacers? Need them to be bored out to fit the full floater hubs on my Currie F9 raptor axle..

Don't know of any local machine shops that would. The job sounds simple enough where a lathe would do the trick. If the spacers fit on my lathe I would open them up a bit. Limiting factor is the lathe bed from the head stock.

Here’s kinda where I’m at, spidertrax said it would be fine to open them up a bit. I don’t need much material taken away.

We get some parts machined at McClintic RDM for work, prices are mid-range but they always do a great job

That's an easy job and I'd do it. I think the O.D. of the spacer is larger than my small lathe can handle.

I'm in the same boat with an old M416 axle...
