Ya man thanks! I went with the 235/85 so about an 1" more than the Pathfinders I had. Haha ya they are I was power washing the truck and hit the rims a little hard on one of them and the dip came off so just went around and did them all. Not that the weather is getting warmer I'm gonna start working on the steelies.

Next weekend, Jen and I are likely going to Page, AZ for some off roading and kayaking.

Probably camping at Alstrom Point again and kayaking into Antelope Canyon. Should be mid 60s and sunny up there.

That’s when they will be getting welded, so the weekend after that would work best

It's awesome that this thread and the adventure thread are getting more traffic. I hope I can make a meet one of these weekends. I was stuck in Albuquerque the last 5 weeks but couldn't get out to meet anybody at the last puerco run.

been a good week. got my shackle flip from 4Xinnovations and extended billies, just waiting for the 4+ Wheelers brake lines then ill be ready to be cool and flex.

will be keeping stock shackle in there so im curious to compare the travel distance to someone with OME's. And ive heard they dont do great on the road but some poly bushings seem to help with that.

anyone else thinking about doing a shackle flip? the brackets are bolt on and $200

Sweet! You guys are always getting out I'm definitely jealous.

Well shit sorry to hear that man hope the recovery going smooth but once you're all back together we can make some time to get out.

We all still need to make a trip down there and explore.

I've got OME all around but not sure if my truck is the best for a comparison considering the size difference haha.

Do you have extended length shocks too?

mostly want to compare to @deekyn, he’s got good flex but has custom King shocks so might be different. And he’s the one that noticed I wasn’t getting good travel when we were at the puerco. This can be seen here trying to get up this lil rock, the rear drivers was at the end of its travel and spinnnnin (thanks Alex for the pic)
EDIT: the rear was not locked because im dum

Your rear tires came off the ground quite a bit at Puerco...

My rears shocks are king 25001-121 which are extended travel (something like 15% more than stock). And mine were actually a longer custom length to compensate for the lift gained by my all pro expo leaf packs. So my total rear travel is something like ~9”.

And in pursuit of more flex... I installed my new Deaver stage III leaf packs today, and have my king 12” smooth bodies and shock relocate waiting to go in.

And with that should gain about 3” more of travel. Crawling or desert go fast, travel is the name of the game. Next for me would be long travel up front (JDFab) but for like $5k minimum, I doubt that’s in the cards. So now I will learn to take advantage of the travel I’ve got.

daaaang sounds like you’re gonna be flexy. Would love to get a full leaf set but in order to get full bumpers/armor and 35’s/regear on before the end of the summer, I’m hoping the shackle flip doesnt suck too much for its price tag

For sure but figured I'd chime in since you asked about OMEs. In the rear I've got the MD Dakar Pack and the 60091 NitroChargers - from the headstrong website - Collapsed: 14.173", Extended: 23.583", Travel: 9.41". I'm also lifting tires fairly often here is my truck on the same rock.

yeah you’re open diffs and popped right up it so looks to be pretty good travel.

The extended bilsteins I got are 10.94” travel and I also got them from headstrong haha. But to quench my curiosity, why not the 5100’s if they are more travel and $15 cheaper?

I actually picked up the lift used from another TW member but headstrong was the first place I thought to look for the specs haha.

Yeah you guys definitely need to get down here for a couple days of wheeling and camping. We are down and out for just a bit right now though. Our new copilot just got out of the hospital and will need to be careful about elevation for a while.

Im definitely in. I’m going to put in for elk hunting near ruidoso this year, some of the highest tag-out percentages in the state. So would be good to scope out the area
