I agree. Tackle washboards with higher speeds. Run it in 4x4 though since when you got that fast you are only in contact with the peaks on the washboards and you may need additional traction since you are floating with little ground contact. I find 35 mph to 50 mph is the best for good road base but lots of washboard.

I'm packing up and moving to NM in a month. I'll be in Santa Fe until we find a house for our family (me, wife, 2 kids).

I saw a ton of trails right next to Santa Fe National Forest on the map, are those the same trails y'all are hitting on the last few pages?

It's going to be great having trails close by - we have to drive 2+ hours away to find any trails at all here in Georgia. My truck's a DCLB on 33s with lift, full armor, and open / open diffs, so it's not the most capable but we have a good time. The armor at least gets used a lot with the 33s.

Welcome to the southwest, no humidity to speak of here:thumbsup:

Alex just outlined a few trails in the Santa Fe/abq area here. Another one close to SFe is glorieta pass. Never been on it but I think it’s all FR and has some great views

    Speaking of wheeling... you’re
free midweeks right? Wheeling soon? I’m sick of going out by myself. He says knowing it’s time for a winch for just this reason.

monday-Wednesday. I got out last week but very last minute. Between moving and opening the restaurant again things have been beyond crazy, so things are finally starting to settle down.

new route out in caja I found. Super tight, rocky, very seldomly used trail.

We cut some pieces of the rear bumper today on a CNC router using some scrap plywood and glued em together. 70% of it is missing here but the crucial pieces all fit great

Next step is to cut the steel plates on the CNC plasma and start welding that shit up:taco:

Well I made it thru the Labajada trail . Since its half tribal land and half state I was able to cross over.

Started from the bottom and after 1/4 ways up that's it you have to commit to the journey as areas are eroded from rains and it's pretty sketch. Needless to say it's a journey that shouldn't be had alone haha.

There is a portion that you can drive that is state land with some awesome views but getting a group of tacos thru to a turn around spot night be a little tricky.

    Anyhow here are some views.

I'm in ft worth and I would love to move to New Mexico one day. My wife and I took a nine day trip out there to Ruidoso, cloudcroft, and gila. We loved every second of it!!! I'm pretty jealous of what yall have that we don't have in Texas. Texas sucks because all the land is private property........

Is there concern for pinstriping just pulling vinyl off? My truck is looking super scratched these days and would be concerned all these scratchy roads I seem to find would pull off any vinyl I put on?

I know that feeling. I grew up in Texas and much prefer it out West due to the open land.

It’s funny my wife just got her 4Runner.

She said she didn’t want to lift it, but the more 4runners and Tacoma’s she sees...

She said “I guess everyone must mod their Toyota’s huh? I thought my 4Runner would look burlier...”. Guess we may be modding her 4Runner after all.

Her parked next to mine doesn’t help. Makes a stock 4Runner look so wimpy

I think so. I have never been. But they own the bar next to me in ft worth called the break room. My buddy's own it and I have a few friends that moved to CO to work at that one
