Subject change 'cuz I'm bored. Painted one of my ak's yesterday... Crap pics, I ended up using my cell phone, my SLR was being weird. It was hard to capture some of the details.. tried messin 'with different backdrops, and that didnt help either.

Sticking with the AK's? I don't have one but I have a nice rifle that is modeled much in the style of an AK. Its a Valmet. Its supposedly an improved version of the AK. Its a .308.

AK is awesome. I like the .308, but they can be a handful, especially in a CQB situation... AK is short and simple, and has great ballistics. I've got M4's, too, and love the way they handle, but I own a tacoma, not a caddy, if ya know what I mean. I've got some bolt work on one of my M4's... it has 14" barrel... feels like I'm shooting a pellet gun. Shooting the Ak's feels like shooting a real gun, and if you;re standing next to them, the blow by smashes you in face.

A .308 with a gas tube design is a darn good idea though...

Yeah, compact and lightweight is very nice. Mine are all big, heavy field rifles. You've probably seen the picture but I never miss an opportunity to whore.:)

The match grade FN FAL, the Valmet, and the HK91.

You should consider working on that. The last thing the police department needs is more assholes.

If I may share my experience, I've noticed that the guy who speaks his mind while being sharp and witty is the guy who the other guys want to be and the girls want to go home with. The asshole is just that, the asshole. There is a fine line between the two. I know this all too well. I've danced this line all of my life.

    Good luck.

You're doing a good job, Ramon. Keep up the hard work.

Greg -- I love FN's weapons. How do you like the FAL? I've been ever so curious about them lately, and wanting to venture down that road.....

The FAL is my favorite of the 3 military rifles. Many consider it one of the best military rifles of all time. Stupid expensive though. Search the price for a match grade FAL. Aaaaahhhh! Forunately, I bought mine in like 1995.

Maybe next time I'm down for the puerco, I'll bring it along. You can give it a whirl

I actually went out and did some rifle/pistol swapping while advancing on a target drills today, and chucked my ak several feet into the sand (I forgot to put the damn sling on after painting it). For the next set of drills the thing shot fine, I didn't even blow it off. The things love to be abused, which is why I love them. Next time there's a meet, maybe we can do a shoot and wheel... I'm drooling over the HK as well...
