I need to change my oil. No build threads, but an update about the truck none the less. I may clean my air filter, too.

wheew! that oil change took it out of me. I didn't have the reserve to clean my filter.

In other news... I blew the motor up on my race bike yesterday, which fuggin' sucks.

Anybody got any gas mileage improvement ideas for our trucks? I'm down to about 12-16mpg, and its killing me. I commute quite a bit, and gas is costing me about 300/mo. I'm bordering on selling the truck....

I'm thinkin' the only real option I've got are to ditch the duratracs and try a radial or more mild AT tire....

You will regret selling your toyota, all other trucks are crap!
The best you will be able to squeeze out of your truck is 20mpg.
get some michelin ms2 or yokohama geolander.

the bike is only a race bike -- nothing street legal about it... although I don't mind riding it around town, the motor blew up sunday.

I'm gonna take a trip to discount today and see what they can get me tire
    wise to help out...

the duratracs are pretty new, yeah. no CAI -- just an afe drop in. I've got a magnaflow muffler, stock pipe, nothing fancy. I'm tempted to trade the truck for a 5.9 cummins, I've had one before -- I've got a buddy who has one that gets 29mpg towing a 5th wheel....
