New Mexico Owners BS Thread

ya... i'm still going to take the MCAT and see how I do... since i'm about to pop my first one out... I still have 26 credits left of my bachelors... so in this next semester it'll decide for me if I can handle med school with a toddler.. if i feel I want to make money sooner than later... i'll just go for my PhD instead...
(sigh) crazy life decisions..

 

PhD in what? Unless you're teachin' with some years under your belt, PhD's don't earn you a heck of alot of cash. Medicine too, for that matter -- what type of doc do you wanna be? Do you have support for the kiddo, (i.e. baby sitters)?

Well guys my friends lil sister backed into my Tacoma last night my front passenger half of my bukper is jacked any ideas on bumper or grille upgrades

 

my bachelors is in biochemistry, so for my masters/PhD I'd prolly do research in nano tech or neurology.. there's a lot of demand in that field ever since obama gave the green light for stem cell research.

my bf's dad would beg the differ.. along with his older brother.
and yea I have a decent support system...

the difference between going for a PhD, I would have a job right away after my bachelors and actually get paid to get my masters+
where as med school, I would be broke for the next eight years.. and i'm not sure I'd want to be a physician.. I could use the MD for other things... and anyone that tells you they want to be a certain kind of doctor never works out that way in the end.. I have a friend thats in his 3rd year of med school and he still doesn't quite know what he wants to specialize in as he says a lot of the other students.

Never said docs dont make money -- some done. Friend 1: family practice, runs her own practice, year gross: about 75k. friend 2: anesthesiologist, works for a group, easier schedule: 640k. All depends on what you do. I'm about 2 classes away from my BCHE bachelors, (at least at state, no idea for unm), and personally, lookin' to get out of health care. I'm too stupid to work for a lab and have a need to deal with people, so I'm not too sure what to do. I'm kinda flirting with going to law school...

Nada yet man, this thing ended up being a farm boy truck, not gonna trade my baby in for that.... I'll keep ya posted though.

i remember when i had my runner although it was brief them forums bite no response from anyone, this by far is the best automotive based forum that ive been on
