I guess supras, evos, stis, and all that are out of the equation?.... Just because you own a diesel doesn't make you fast... have fun trying to make that heavy anvil quick... it takes some $$$ to get that thing scootin.... doubt you will make it quick enough to beat me though....

A grand out of this motor is very possible with a fully built motor... if you have any idea what that means....

    H beam rods
    JE forged pistons
    JE wrist pins
    Street port and polished heads
    Dual Titanium valve springs
    blah blah blah...

Diesels aren't made to be fast. There is great potential for power in those engines because they are extremely simple motors, and require very little to increase air and fuel delivered to the engine. The truck is 10,000 lbs, I realize, its not made for fast, I'm not stupid.

I've had vehicles with fully built motors before, so I know the drill. My last fast vehicle was had a daily driven mustang, (a 331 v8, not a small displacement v6), which had a DSS LV20 block, forged everything, $1000 head work, and a huge Hellion turbo kit that dynoed 663hp. That was a budget build for about 5 and a half grand on a DD that I had for about 2 years and blew up. Are you using the stock block? That's going to be funny.

If you're mentioning 1000 HP STI's, you've probably seen the Cosworth motor, in which the price tag is 13 grand, (minus core and shipping), and most of those, tuned, are making in the 600hp mark; not 1000. The motor's internals are rated for a thousand, I'm pretty sure very few of those cars come close to that mark. Most Supras with over $10,000 in motor work make in the 7-800hp mark, and aren't using stock blocks. You're taking about diesel guys having to spend money? :p
