I'm married to the gym so tonight is quality time with a StairMaster.

Oh, and boxes containing parts showed up today. Pictures, anyone?

Marlin Crawler clutch kit and some 10mm top plate spacers. Nothing quite like leveling the droop out of my truck.

Thinking about re-gearing or plate bumpers next. Still deciding.

Thanks man! I'm liking it! hoping to get some tires here shortly, just not sure what and where to get them from. Any recommendation's? I really like the BFG A/T KO or General Tires' Grabber.

BFG A/T TOs are damn good. Long life, decent traction, smooth road ride. I'm going back to them or trying the Duratracs. If you have the coin for the BFGs might as well consider the Duratracs.

Yeah I was looking at those! Yeah its probably gonna be awhile, but love to get your guys expert opinions. Thanks!

Yeah I really like the BFGs but I've been reading around the site on how a lot of people are liking the Duratracs. Whichever I decide to get I'm gonna put them on my steelies. Would either of those tire sizes fit on my truck?

you no lika my tires! what's a matta you? :p

The KM2s aren't much louder than the ATs but I don't like how they ride on the road. I don't do enough off-roading to want to stick with them.

But, yeah, if the duratracs don't have much sidewall, I'm thinking of sticking with the tried and true, the ATs.

Really only a two ply sidewall?!

I think I might go with the BFGs too, or the General's lol

Not if you get E rated ones. My 285s were 3 ply. I ran at 15psi all the time on the rocks, no issues.

Ah, ok. I am liking the duratracs more and more anyways. They look better and have better street performance, it looks like.

KM1's look soo much better than the new KM2's, but most of the reviews I've seen point toward the KM2's performing better.

If I was to get a set of MT's it would be the new MTR's.

I have 285/70R17s on my work truck and I've replaced two due to side wall damage :( and I do go on two track roads. One of my tires was cut by a small stump and the other by a small bush :pout: the tires do great on snow covered and icy roads though

A little bit of info. Do not do 5 coats of Nite-Shades. Just got pulled over for having my tail lights too dark.

Wouldn't getting the three ply side-walls help that a lot? My folks get quite a bit of snow (for NM, anyways), so I need to have tires that can handle snow, and I've heard bad things about the KM2s in snow.

Siped KM2s are great in snow.

And for the record.... BFG > Goodyear (Athough the new MTR Kevlars are pretty stinkin sweet...)

I would run the Kevlars if I wasn't running 35s. Reason being is that BFGs are a lot lighter, and I have to keep the rotational mass to a minimum as to not break as many CVs... Plus the 3 ply sidewalls are very nice in the rocks.

I would never run Duratracs if I did a lot of rock crawling, since I've seen so many sidewall splits from sharp rocks. But they are a good looking tire, and perform well in sand and especially snow.

Good point. The Duratracs still seem like the best option, since this truck will have to be my daily driver, it is the only vehicle I will have.
