    Bigger, better Tires.

It's a shame Toyota puts a Kevlar "Highway Tire" on the O.R. & PRO

265/75/16 Duratracs are the closets to a M/T tire, with a A/T thread.

The pro floor mats have a more aggressive tread than the tires. I swapped out the tires for wildpeaks the day I picked up the truck.

Does the Pro come OEM with different tires than the other TRD models?

Nope, not even the '22. The difference re. wheel/tire/suspension is the pro wheels, thicker sway bar, 1" wider stance, the slight lift, and of course the fox setup. The only other "functional" changes include the fog lights, TRD skid plate, and TRD exhaust and black tip.

14 out of 20 Pro owners modify parts on their truck that they paid extra for, which is pretty much in line with what I thought. I am including the get off my lawn voters (circled below) in the modified section based on them being butthurt that they have to admit in a poll that they modified their Pro.

*i voted both because I’m jelly that I don’t own a Pro

As a professional researcher, I have to impulsively say that this poll has some massive flaws if you're looking for generalizability. The biggest one being that this is a forum for truck enthusiasts who are much more likely to modify their vehicles. I have a buddy with an OR who takes it off road, yet he's never considered modifying it beyond a window tint. He also has no desire to be on this forum. Correlation does not = causation, but that understanding applies here as well.

Only just now, nearly 3 years and 45k miles later, am I considering changing out the suspension. That is due to me fucking the truck with adding RTT, armor, other bs, and loading the bed with camping gear. The rear sags quite a bit when loaded up.

    Still wheels well enough.

I'm on 33s and if I didn't do all that to the truck, I'd leave the suspension as is. It's fantastic unmolested.

I really enjoy the primary and secondary ride quality on and off road. I'd be remiss if i upgraded to something else and hated the daily ride. The only area im hurting in is height, or i could learn to drive better/slower when im out with the boys. I enjoy it for what it is.

I plan to keep this truck at least until my daughter is old enough to learn stick, which will be 15 years from now. So i'm not in any particular rush. I did equipment, electronics, sliders, sound, and 32" tires. I'll probably consider fox performance elite when the fox's start to fade. I expect that to happen well before 50K

I work in car commercials and have spoken with the Honda trophy truck fox team and a few TRD employees.

Honda rep told me that during their market research for the new ridgeline, the stats on the tacoma showed that 90-95% of all miles driven were on pavement.
Fox reps said that internal-bypass is considered to be superior for road quality, and that the fox team that tunes for toyota are the varsity/"cool guys" that were very proud of their work.
It was mentioned that the fox pro unit originally had a clicker, and Toyota told them to remove it, to not give the end user that adjustability/ability to fuck it all up. Makes sense, for T anyway.

I would be interested to hear what you can dig up that is naturally available re: use-case for tacomas.

Heres a funny one, in my area of town (LA) the working tacomas i see on the road are predominantly pool cleaners. Occasionally a gardener/landscaper or locksmith, but mostly pool cleaners

Can all 12 who voted neither, post pics of their “stock” vehicles. I’m calling BS that 40% in here haven’t made changes. :D
