How often do you have to do maintenance on those beasts? I was considering the go-big, go-home approach when this nonsense happened, but heard anything fancier is a pain in the ass/ perpetually expensive for those of us who aren't mechanically inclined.

Every 30-50k…I don’t wheel hard but do a lot of camping off grid. A rebuild is only a couple hundred for the kit, and can be done in a day. Ymmv

FWIW, my 20 doesn't squeak up front. Only slightly in the leafs, as did my 2013.

One of the “OG” pros checking in. Stock wheels (besides the powder coated rock ring), stock suspension.

    Nothing
Just picked up mine last week. The truck Rides a lot better then I thought it would so far I’m liking it a lot. Only problem I have found is the range isn’t very good. Last truck had a range of around 600-640 miles this truck seems like it will Be close to 300 is that about what your range is.

Yah, it's definitely not known for good fuel economy, but you can certainly get better MPG by leaving the tires alone and being mindful of how much gas you're giving it off the line, etc.

    Every warranty available.
That logic is backwards. If you find a CPO it will start around MSRP+8K. On the other hand waiting out a dealer allocation can be done at msrp.
Both can be as difficult as the other.

So what is this setup here that you finally settled on? looks like you still have the fox, but looks taller.

May have installed 1" spacers but that is it and will be it, besides maybe Sumo Springs which don't count.

Ironman 4x4 Foam Cell Pros. I had the green springs powdercoated to look OEM. It's level and about 1.25" taller than OEM pros.

The only thing I plan on changing out on my 22 Pro are the tires. I may put these on my 06 PreRunner and get some Duratracs or Wildpeaks. I am more than happy with the way it drives and It can off-road just fine at my comfort level.

    Stock wheels/tires/lift.

When I was a young Man (I'm 61 now) I lifted my HighBoy Ford and all the associated junk that goes with it....
Now, I just want a nice reliable truck for travel and camping.
As for buying a 2020 TRD Pro....well, it was the start of the pandemic, dealers were not selling allot of anything. I pitted several dealers against each other with online quotes and
the dealership I went with.. quote: "we just want that snorkel truck off our lot" $43.914.00 out the door it was mine, some 7K (out the door) below what the other dealers were asking.
I am sure I may go with different tires when these do their miles but I am dang sure they wont be m/t type as yes Virginia my truck sees 90% on road use.
