It's nice for travelling. I can fly across the country using the phone to watch movies or play games the whole flight, then get off the plane with a fully charged phone.

It looks cool, super fast, and the kevlar backing is tacti-cool, but my main issue with this phone is that you cannot upgrade the battery. It's location prevents any battery larger than the OEM size to be replaced. It's underneath structural plates within the phone that cannot be changed.

With any smart phone, the battery will drain before days end. If you're a heavy user like I am, the battery will be dead before lunch.

There is a company called "Mugen Power" that supplies reliable cell phone batteries from 1.5X stock up to 3x stock.

You could get a 1.5x battery which would be the same size as stock, but I got a 3x battery which is twice as thick as stock.

Now my battery for my Droid Charge lasts all day even with Pandora, GPS,GPS rerouting from traffic, monitoring traffic, movies, checking email, playing games ect....

If you live in a 4G area, then you really don't need the dual core processor. If you live in a 3G area, get a dual core processor phone.

ALthough the battery isnt "removable" per se, if you separate the case, there is a tab that says "Pull here to remove battery". So, it is replaceable, but youre right about not being able to install a larger one, at least for now.

I was able to install a larger battery with the addition of a larger battery cover that came with the battery.

It didn't look as good as the original one but it did make the phone easier to hold

If you have a laptop, you dont need it. I think the lapdock is only good for those that travel. Just my thoughts.

Have a look at this too:

    http://www.google.com/nexus/

Not released yet in the US, few more weeks probably. But its hard to beat, especially with the fact that it comes stock with android 4.0 and will be the first to get any update. (as long as you don't get a Verizon one)

I thought about that before getting the razr. The bottom line was, the glass screen, water resistance, and strength of the razr. Im not easy on things, and I need something that can resist my antics.

In that case, the Lapdock would be ideal. There are a couple of them, and one has a 15" screen. The lapdock 100 and the lapdock 500.

Black out emblems. TRD Pro grille.
My dad just got his and I was thinking of either getting the razr or the bionic. My friend has the bionic and dont really want it since the Razr is basically the same thing with the core components.

So far, the Razr has beaten the iphone 4s. Cnet made it the best phone of the year.

The only downside to the Lapdock on AT&T is that it requires you to buy tethering to use it. It gets an extra 2gb of data so it's not a total loss.

My wife works for AT&T so I get a discount. No big. Plus, they're cracking down on tethering without paying. Several people have gotten cease & desist letters. I think they focus more on the people who have grandfathered unlimited plans (I don't).

I've always thought they should add free tethering to their tiered data plan (e.g. 2 GB for $xx, extra $10 for each 1GB you go over) and advertise that tethering is free.

Their main reason for charging for tethering is because it uses more bandwidth (standard web browsers pull more data than a mobile browser). If you use more than 2GB, you'd just pay more. Who cares if it's because of another device. I think it would attract new users to the tiered plan.

The only time I've ever come close to going over 4GB was when I was downloading an entire season of "24" to watch when I'm on travel.
