Hey guys I have a 2011 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad Prerunner 4.0L V6 Double cab, short bed, along with a 6"inch lift kit with Procomp wheels and Trail Grapplers 35"inch, and im looking to beef it up in the sound department. Im looking for an aggressive sound that evens up with the trucks looks. I have already set my heart on a Flowmaster 40 series delta flow. The problem is i'm going to order it and I need to know what sizes I should get so that I know when I cut out my old muffler it will fit. Is it 2.25 and should it be Center IN/Center OUT or Center IN/Offset OUT.

Don't think it matters as long as diameter matches.....thought it was 2.5" but I could be wrong. I just went to a shop and they had everything I wanted to. Look at and installed. $100 for new muffler and install!

Don't understand how people spend $300+ on a catback!

That's the thing i've gone to a couple shops and for me to buy the muffler there and get it installed is around 300..
So i'm trying to save a little by buying a muffler then just paying for labor so I can save money.

Its nice. If you want performance and not just a muffler Borla makes a great catback system, just alittle extra $$

Ehh it was more deep stock tone. If you want aggressive check out aero turbines or wicked flow. Many people run Aero's on here and love them heres a sound clip from one of our members

Check out the aeroturbine. Heard it sounds good when in town and quiets up on the highway for a no-drone drive.

How does the TRD exhaust sound? Or is that just a garbage upsell?

Have you noticed any performance boosts with the TRD over the stock? Definitely sounds better than stock, but that's not quite as throaty as I'd like it to be, particularly with the price tag.
