Hey there. I've been here lurking, but never registered. I used to wrench, but that was in the 70's. However I still do my own work except for warranty. I'm fortunate that I have a drive on lift in my garage.
A couple of days ago I got to thinking, I have never checked my auto trans fluid on my 2016 4WD with the tow package. Went looking for the dip stick and found none. So I googled it, and was led here. Of course there is plenty to read about that issue. Thank you Gearcruncher for your detailed 1st post on the subject. And thanks to all the other members who have provided more insight and help.
I plan on calling Toyota about this and getting the ball rolling.

    Talk with ya,
    Charles

Thanks for the welcome. The trans has the hunting issue, and some milder stuff. I've got 11,000 miles on it now, but I drive gently. More will be revealed!
    Thanks for the welcome.
