I used to have a 2007 Toyota Tacoma AC 4x4, V6, auto. Great truck, but wife talked me into trading up....errr down to a 2008 Tahoe. Ever since then I have missed the versatility of the litte Tacoma. There is nothing wrong with the Tahoe, its big, likes the stop often at the gas pumps, and did great in the past ice/snow storm we got here in Arkansas. Well now I am on the prowl for another Tacoma, but do have a few questions. How are the double cabs in comparison to the access cab? We have two children, ages 13 and 11, and even though they rode in the back of the access cab I often wondered what the double cab would feel like. So can I get some feed back on that? Are there any years to stay away from on the 2nd gens? I am looking at a 2011 DBSB, 4x4, V6, auto, but with power windows.

My 2005 prerunner had frame failure Aug 2024
once in a blue moon i've had to sit in the back seat of my dbl cab prerunner(better than drinking and driving). i'm 6'1" and have plenty of leg room with the front passengers still comfortable.

3 in the back is tight. 2 is very comfortable.

I have a 2008 access cab and I have sat in the back before while someone has drove and it is okay but gets uncomfortable on long rides. My friend just got a 2013 double cab and the back is comfortable. I don't mind sitting in the back in his truck.
