Just got a 2017 short Bed ORD. Trying to rig it up for fly fishing and a little camping. Just ordered a decked system. And, thinking of going with a dissent rack for mounting my River Quiver (and other stuff) and a softopper for sleeping in with a foam mattress on the deck. Anybody rigged up something like this? THanks. Jake P.S. New to the whole forum thing, so apologize in advance for any faux pas

Several people have done this - sticking a mattress on top of a platform underneath a softtopper or fiberglass shell. Personally, for me it is too tight and annoying to crawl into the small sliver of space just to sleep and I would rather just have a ground tent, but that's my personal preference.

My Dad has his 2005 access cab set up with a fiberglass shell and platform on 2/3 of the width with a mattress on top. He's getting annoyed with not being able to stand up (or even sit up, really) inside and wants a camper like mine.

So, it will probably do you well for a while, but you may be wanting an upgrade at some point.

Someone on here is selling a tan soft topper that would fit your truck in the Colorado Trading Post thread:
