Excellent. I was leaning towards the 888's so I appreciate the advice.

@SeaJax no rubbing and no trimming? Awesome. What’s the offset on your rims? I heard if the rims are 0 offset you won’t have to do any trimming and no rubbing.

KrnTaco08 - No rubbing anywhere, no trimming needed at all. I don't think it's even close to rubbing. I believe my offset was 1 and backspacing was 5" .

But.. how... it can’t be. No trimming or CMC? Lol

So majority of the members here will say you need to trim or CMC. What’s your secret?

One of the members told me having a “0 offset rim” won’t cause any rubbing and no need to chop.

This member also had 5100s with 17 inch wheels on 285 and zero offset.

I might be going this route if that’s the case. I don’t mind the trimming but CMC is what I don’t want to do.

Good looking truck. I'm about to do a similiar setup. Did you have much settling after it was finished?

Good info guys, thanks. My 888’s are being shipped now along with suspension, will try to get it installed during Xmas break.

I did have some settling unfortunately; I plan on moving the 5100s to the .85 to try to correct the slight rubbing at full lock.

same exact setup sans the tires. CM and a bunch of trimming. Caster @ 3.8/4.1.

.85 might increase cv angles too much, my suggestion just get the cmc and trim

I agree if you're going to run 285's regardless of lift, I think you need to bite the bullet and cmc.

I got the full OME kit stock load. 2887 coils on the OME nitro shock, full leaf pack and stock UCA’s, Rides great and am very pleased with this setup! Waiting for settling for rims and tires. I have about 1.5’’ rake and I’d like about a .5’’ rake (closer to a level lift) would putting a spacer on front struts be best option or with the OME 2888 coils give me about 1’’ without having to add a spacer? HELP!

Btw I live in Louisiana and this is only the second time I’ve experienced snow in my life to I had to get pics lol

Anyone seen significant settling with these 888s? I would love to net 3” up front but not sure if I’ll need to put 1/4” spacers in addition or just adjust the Bilsteins up a notch. DCSB by the way

Pretty set on getting the 888s w/ 5100s for the front of my ‘17 DCLB. Now just trying to decide whether to get a 1” black or the HS 3 leaf AAL for the rear. I’ve read taking out the overload will give me 1.5” in the rear. My truck as it sits now:

34.5” from ground to fender on drivers side and 34.75” on passengers side. Rear is right at 36”.

I want it to sit completely level (or as close as possible) and I will rarely be hauling anything heavy via trailer or the bed for extended periods of time.

How much rake do you have? I have the same setup but with 2887 coils and I have 1.5’’ rake and I’d like to have around .5’’ rake..
