I didnt like the ride with the stock Uca's ...since I went with the SPC Uca's I decided to go with a taller spring . All is good now

Any 2nd Gen's out there with the 888's? I don't plan on a winch or bumper so not sure if the 888 are overkill vs the 887's.

Added weight should need the 886. If you AREN’T adding 1k lbs.+, then 887 or 888 is less than a half inch difference, depending on your bed weight.

He isnt adding weight like he said. The 887 and 888 coild work great on 2nd gens, they are the same spring rate just 5mm length difference so probably just under half inch of lift.

I think with no winch or bumper you will get too much lift with the 888, probably something around 3.25 inches. If you find you really want that extra half inch of lift throw on a 1/4 spacer and there you go.

CE9E63D8-F60E-4B8A-B0EF-5C624C7F4A76.jpg Thanks to @CarolinaBlue for his pics and info on lift! I have a 2017 Tacoma Trd Sport 4x4 with full OME kit 888 coil’s (going with SSO bumper and smittybilt winch) 1/4 inch top plate spacer SPC light racing UCA’s and medium duty Dakar leaf packs with 90021 soft ride struts! Special thanks to Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and fast shipping. Still don’t no how they put most of all lift in one box with that much packing paper. After taking everything out of the box then couldn’t get box shut with just the packing paper! Sits perfect and rides amazing.

Thanks. Is the front sitting higher than the back or is it just the angle of the picture? so you put 1/4 spacers on both sides and used the trim packer for driver side lean?

I have read, read, and read before making my decision on the 888's and only got 2 1/8 inch lift in the front.. Im still scratching my head. Yes, I verified they were the 888"s. Anyone else have a problem like this??

    OME 888's
    Bilstein 5100 set at 0
    Dirt Fab UCA's
    1" Block in rear
    Stock wheels and tires..

@Slyman009 no just pic and driveway! My measurements before rims and tires meaning after lift and on stock rims and tires were from ground to bottom edge of fender flare was front drvr side 37 7/8, front pass side 38, back drvr side 38 1/4, and back pass side 38 1/2. Mesurements before lift was driver front 34 7/8, pass front 34 7/8, driver back 35 3/8, pass back 35 7/8. Thats measuring from concrete to fender flare in middle of tire and rim. No measurements after alignment with stock rims and tires. I have the measurements from after new rims and tires also but that is just what the rims and tires added to lift.

Sorry didnt answer second part of your question. One coil pack comes with spacer mounted on the pack. Then I installed 1/4 spacer on top of both coil packs. I did that because of SSO bumper and wench im installing later on.

@Derockk556 I just installed OME 888 coils and the OME 90021 soft ride struts with 1/4 top plate spacer on both sides and only got 3 inches of lift. What Ive read is that gives you 1/2 inch more lift. That could be an option that you can go!!

Well, I did install the 1/4 to fix the taco lean and am still lower on the drivers side for some reason.

Derockk556, yes that seems to be a realistic number depending on accessories. I posted my numbers earlier in this thread but have 90021's. I started a different thread for guys to have a reference of actual settled heights. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/lift-kit-settled-height-reference.536929/ I suspect the heights you may have read are from guys less than a week after install. Also there will be differences from one spring to the next.

I'll check it later when I get home. But a bit of update. I had my alignment yesterday and it raised my lift a 1/4 inch to even things out. I never would have thought it would not be accurate until I got my alignment. but I helped a lot.
