Just ordered a set of the new OME hd leaf springs, bilstein b110 shocks, and all the mounting hardware and bushings from @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc. I also ordered a set of 35x12.5r20 durratracs to replace my worn out trail grapplers. I'm currently running a small lift block not sure how tall with the tsb springs. The back end is way lower than it used to be and has horrible traction. I have a 6" fab tech lift. since taking my truck in for the recall the back end has not been the same. Will 2.75" be enough to level out a 6" lift? If not I'm planning on doing a shackle flip. Eventually I would like to put a solid axle up front, I just want to get the back end sorted out first. Any advise on anything else i should get right away to make this go smoothly? My goal is to get rid of the lift block and get my truck handling good again. I'm not worried about getting the 35s to fit. Has anybody ran these springs? I've searched but haven't found any reviews.

Define “small lift block”? And no the Dakar’s won’t level a DB lift at 6in. The rear is about an inch higher stock, and now you’re 5in higher in the front. I’ll let you tackle the math to figure out what lift you need in the rear to match the front.

Well with stock recall springs and a 1-1.5 inch block the back end sits about 2" below level. I'm not sure if you realize but a 6" lift dosen't actually raise the back end of the truck 6", just like how a leveling kit dosent raise the back like it dose the front. So I'm hoping pulling out the block and installing the springs will get me close to level. Like I said in my first post if it dosent get the back as high as I would like Im going to be doing a shackle flip with longer shackles. These were the springs recommnded by wheeler. If anybody has actual experience running these springs I would like to here your results.

All-Pro Offroad offers a 3" leaf pack. That may be something that you may want to look into.

What is your front hub to fender measurement? It’s simple to figure out what you need just measure.

Would just install the Dakar pack and add another leaf if needed.

If he’s unloaded in the rear it would be a harsh ride with HD Dakar’s.

I tried going the custom route at first, I called Alcon and deaver. Both places seemed like they didn't want my business when I called and tryed asking questions specific to my truck. Like it was too much of a hassle or something, I got put off from them. I called wheeler and they had great customer service and these are the springs the recommended. If they don't get me thge height I'm looking for I will add a shackle flip and longer shackles, I would like the articulation anyway.

I have a custom rear bumper that weighs about 2-300lbs and plan on adding more weight eventually.

24" in the front, which has fender flares

25.5" in the rear which the flares are removed on.

That’s a 4in lift not 6. Dakar’s may get you close to level with that setup. Just note that Dakar’s sag after some time so the 2.75 lift won’t last. You should easily get to 24 hub to fender in rear after settling.

It' definatly a 6", the spacer in the front is 6". Either way eventually I will be redoing the front to a solid axle and getting rid of the db. It might sit lower than average due to my body armor.

Oh well I guess if it looks bad I will just leave the blocks in until I get the shackle flip.

What I’m saying is you didn’t get 6in of lift. A stock tacoma is around 20in hub to fender, so you got 4in of lift. This is why Dakar’s will get you close to level.

Hmm... my front end has been the same since I bought the truck, except possible sag due to all the body armor. The back end was much higher before I took it in for the recall but the dealer pretty much wrecked my rear suspension. They kept my helper springs and claimed I couldn't have them back because they were recall parts, and some how they lost one of the bushings from my rear shocks. Ever since they worked on my truck my rear end has very poor traction and sits way lower thasn it used to, like by a few inches. They also performed a bunch of unauthorized "recall work" like cutting my gas pedal in half with a die grinder. Needless to say I will not be bringing anything to them to work on ever again. My main focus is getting my handling back to and hopefully better than it used to be, if the hieght dosent end up where i want it I guess I will do a shackle flip.

And to be completely honest about the height my goal is to keep the trucks center of gravity low as possible while still getting good traction and full articulation with the 35's. I just wish I would have bought a stock suspension truck and moded it from scratch. I would not have gone the drop bracket route.
