Took my pump out this morning... time to winterize. Sure as hell there's gonna be a time before I put the pump back in when I'll need water and not have it lol

The directions that came with the pump give winterizing instructions. if you can purge the lines like it describes and ensure it is dry, you should be safe leaving it installed. It does say water freezing inside voids the warranty though so its your call. but just giving you some options

My bad, didn't realize this was a different setup. Didn't pay too much attention to the details.

I got mine btw - looks great. Won't be installing it for at least a few weeks, though. Got to make a storage enclosure to house it the way I've got it envisioned in my head.

Oh no worries. Either someone had this design idea long before me (even down to the filter) and i had no idea... or someome did their best at copying it.

Glad you got your kit! Post some pics once you have it setup! Im interested to know how its being modified to suit your needs and it gives others ideas too.

I am currently looking into building a large capacity 10-20 gallon reservoir that fits into the spare tire with a lightweight skid plate. Probably a few months out still, but should be epic

I'm doing this as well. Once I get it figured out I plan on buying one of your kits...assuming you have any left that is. Shoot me a PM if you want to brainstorm. I have no interest in selling them so you can run with all the ideas we may be able to come up with.

Will do. It'll live a long, narrow horizontal box that will be mounted above the wheel well and along the length of the bed. Box will have a hinged lid that'll open up. The water pump and all hoses (connected) will live inside in a semi-permanent mount. I plan to source a Y-pipe/fitting in order to split the water pump's output line in two directions - one will use the existing yellow coil/hose, and another will go to an optional water heater. This way I'll be able to use either or, without having to fiddle with hoses. For water I'm planning to use 5-gallon water tanks that'll be secured on my roof rack. I thought about a larger container inside the bed, but decided that having smaller jugs will make them much easier to refill, especially if I'm in the middle of nowhere and need to get water from a creek or river.

Could you be able to fill it up through the bed instead of having to climb under the truck?

I'm sure you could run an intake hose to somewhere more accessible, like side of the truck, rear of the truck, or even inside the bed.

Or you could even use the same water pump to fill up the tank - put the intake hose in your fresh water source, and output hose into your water tank.
