New option for radio knobs

Nice knobs!

 

I picked up a set a while back. These things are awesome.

I love mine, just make sure you super glue the inside plastic part to the outside metal part, you’ll have to do it anyway in a few weeks when they fall apart. Mine both did it within a week apart from each other.

 

Hmmm.....Anyone else experience this?

 

They don't really "fall apart", it's more of a loosening. The knobs are made of two separate pieces (inner/outer) that are screwed together. Some, including myself, have experienced this loosening. All you have to do is unscrew the two pieces completely, put a drop of glue on the end, and screw them back together. I may be wrong, but I believe the ones being shipped now are already glued.

 

I picked up a set of these a while ago and they work really well. I haven't experienced any internal component loosening but it seems like an easy fix if it occurs. These are a huge improvement over the stock radio knobs.

 

Early on I wasn't using glue, just getting them as tight as possible. But I've been gluing them now and that has solved the problem.

 

When I got mine in, I wondered how they were put together. Now I know. Glad you listened to your customer’s feedback and fixed the issue.

 

Just goes to show you that no product is perfect. But the willingness of the product creator to listen, adapt, and improve is what differentiates one from the rest. Kudos @Tacowiede

These are great knobs! Wish they worked on the 2020.

 

I'm working on the 2020. I made a set but they didn't fit quite right so I'm making another set. It's taking a while because I don't have access to a 2020. To test this one I had to go to the dealer and pretend like I was interested in the truck. If there's anyone in central Illinois, or if anybody knows of someone, who would be willing to help me out, please let me know. At a minimum, there would be a free set of knobs in it for you.

 

What level of difficulty is it to remove old knobs and install these?

 

On a scale of 1 to 10, it's a 0.5
