    Hi all,

I picked up a 2008 Tacoma regular cab, 4x4, a few months ago. Really enjoying the truck-- my first pickup. I have a few questions that I've been having a hard time finding a quick answer for, maybe I can get help?

    1. Tires: I have settled on BFG KO2s, but size I believe I need is only in E load rating. Currently running 265/70/16 with some cruddy generals, but Tire Rack states stock size is 245/75/16 (on stock steelies, which is what I have). KO2s come in 235/75/16 with more appropriate C rating... would that tire fit my wheels?

    2. Best aux input option?

    3. What is the best way to find light or moderate off-roading trails/areas? Just relocated to St. Joseph, MO and can't seem to find a great solution, aside from the couple of off-road parks dotted across the state. There has to be a better option, right?

THANK YOU so much for your help!

    Stuart

Welcome to TW! Post some pics of your truck!

    1. Good for you noticing the load rating. Best bet for KO2s is to switch to a 17" wheel and run KO2 265/70R17s in C-load. This does involve switching wheel sizes obviously. See the Rock Warrior KO2 link in my sig for more info. Otherwise if you wanted C-load, the Duratrac does come in 265/75/R16 in C-load. Both these sizes are +1" over stock but will fit without rubbing with no lift. I wouldn't suggest going with a smaller tire like the 235 as I think it would look funny, and if you did ever lift (spend enough time on here and you will) you would have to replace the tires.

    2. Aux for what? The stereo?

    3. Check out the regional section of this forum to connect with other members in your local area. They will be best able to tell you the local wheeling spots.
