Hey Folks, first time poster, long time tacoma lover. Crazy story on buying my first Tacoma.

As of May of this year, I was able to finally take the keys for my dream Tacoma. 2023 Lunar Rock TRD OR long bed.

After getting jerked around by a dealership where I live in Wisconsin for over a year, saying they had ordered one for me, but never had any updates. I finally opened the search area to the rest of the country, low and behold I found her, the dream truck, down in Greeley, CO. Went down on May 18 to pick her up, by 10 am I had flown in and taken the keys. All that lay ahead was a 14 hour drive home....

Which was cut short by a deer running across I-80 in the middle of Iowa.

2 excruciatingly long months of repairs and mishaps with the tow driver, bodyshop, and dealership, delaying said repairs, I finally have had my truck home for a week.

The only thing that would make this worse would be if the Wisconsin dealer called the next day and said your new truck was in. ;)

Unfortunately, the deer was pretty mangled upon impact, no venison either LOL

Welcome! glad your OK and the truck was finally repaired. Deer are always a major concern getting to and around our cabin that's 5 hours away from a major city.
