Haha, yea whatever. It ain't that easy

That can be fixed; it is worth doing it. Everything else about the truck seems good.

    this ^^^^^^

if its just in that one spot then its no big deal, just go over the whole rest of the frame banging it with a hammer you will hear a different sound if there is a "thin" spot about to break through somewhere else.

also check wit the dealer, if the truck had a frame inspection done on it then it should still qualify for a frame replacement, its 15 years from when the truck was made so 03 is covered until 18 "as long as it got inspected for rust as required to qualify"

there are lots of trucks with good frames down south so maybe you can buy a rear section from a truck that had a front end wreck "insurance totaled out" to replace yours, that looks to be a bit more then just a "weld a patch over it and its good as new" repair job

600 cash for fix and coated is a good deal. I would like to see the repair work before the deal for sure.

Another option if your having doubts
    - fix it, drive to California and sell it for 12k:D

Thanks,I needed a good laugh! This gentleman restored my father in law 66 mustang and 57 chevy to near perfection. Very good at what he does. If after dropping gas tank and inspected, he believes its repairable. I'm fixing it for $600

Good deal. Just make sure that's the only spot. Mine went up front where the sway bar mounts. Dirt and salt gets in the factory hole in the frame behind the front wheel and sits in the boxed section rusting away over time. Trust me, once you get it in to have the frame welded you might as well make sure you get every spot that needs attention addressed the first time.

Good advice for sure. I have been under it awhile today poking around. Couldn't find anything else, but will definitely check those areas closer. Thanks

It's weird mine went up front, and the area where yours went, on mine was rock solid.
Hit around with a hammer, mine looked fine where you see the hole, but it ripped the sway bar mount off one day going into a blueberry field (hit a hole hidden by tall grass) that's when you could see how thin the frame was in that area. Beforehand it looked fine, no visible holes.

Do you still have that vehicle? How about rest of frame?

Sold it. I use my truck for work in the forestry industry and they constant rough road driving was showing all the weak areas in my frame. I had it patched 3 times, that was enough. All from cab forward though, my rear section was fine, at least from what I could tell.

The rest of the truck was mint, if Toyota would have put a frame under it I'd still have it today. Some of the trucks they were installing frames under weren't worth $1000.
