I have recently gotten a 2016 TRD Sport Long Bed and am looking to upgrade the suspension on it for some camping and some low level dirt trails and creek beds. I must have read a ton of different blogs and advice columns from different vendors on their kits. I’m just looking for some advice on what to look for so I don’t break the bank and look like a complete sucker when I walk into one of these 4x4 shops. I was looking at the Old Man Emu Heavy Load 2” suspension lift. It seems that may suffice for both the camping and trails, but also for work. Thoughts?

Lots of threads on this. Bilstein 5100 set up is highly recommended for improved performance and budget price. Eibach kit is similar. Step up would be Fox 2.0s, little better but more expensive.

Check out headstrong off-road, a vendor here. They are solid people that will gladly help you with any questions you have, I got all of my stuff from them. Their website has a ton of information too that can help.

    PS, welcome to the forum

Accutune have different stages for a complete suspension. Check them out also.
