Chris from Indy here. Just picked up my 2017 TRD Sport in Magnetic Grey on Saturday...coming from a 2015 WRX and 2009 Ranger (traded both in). Love the truck! This is my first Toyota and so far I'm very pleased with the quality, ride comfort, etc. my only complaints so far are the lackluster stereo sound and the seating position.....but I knew about those beforehand and will just get used to it.

So far I've had the front windows tinted and just today added a set of n-fab step rails.

Looking forward to participation in the forum.

Welcome Chris. Which dealer did you buy from?

What area of Indy are you located?

Thanks! I live on the NE side of Indy (castleton) and work in Westfield. The truck was purchased from ed Martin Toyota in Anderson.

I had been looking at trucks for a little while but just recently started looking seriously. Honestly, Toyota wasn't at the top of my list initially. I began looking at Colorado diesels....have had a handful of diesel VWs over the years and a Jeep Liberty at one time....the diesel was what attracted me since I wanted decent fuel Econ if I was doing away with both my old truck and car. after looking at the Tacomas on the lot one day, I began researching them and ended up driving a couple. It was all over at that point.

Ed Martin was very responsive to all my questions and pretty much negotiated completely over email....got the best deal from them so they earned my business.

Congrats on your new truck! I've taken a tour of the Indy 500 speedway a couple years ago. That was a fun trip. One of the White Castle burger joints I ate at was sketchy though.

    Nice looking truck.

Yeah, IMS is a very cool place with lots of history. Love it.

As for White Castle....yes they tend to be in some sketchy parts of town. I only recommend you go there if you have courage and an iron gut. : )

The White Castle we went to was in a nice area...it was just absoltely filthy...and I've got low standards. The floor was so damn bad...but damn it if I didn't want to try those burgers so bad! White castles are never in the areas I have lived. Burgers were great though!

We also toured Fort Benjamin Harrison...my dad was stationed there during the Vietnam era. He wanted to go see it again.

I really enjoyed that trip and was glad my Dad got to see his old stomping grounds.

 I grew up near Bloomington & worked in Indy for a while. In fact I normally meet some buds up around Castleton a few times a year.

I'm with you on the diesels having owned a few TDis & some Powerstrokes the MPG and power delivery are great.
