    I just bought a White 2016 SR5 as my first truck and I'm looking to mod up and get ready for the trails. Any suggestions or advice (brands, use, installation, etc.)?
    I am currently planning on;
    Bigger Tires
    Roof Rack
    Light Bar(s)
    Chase Rack

    Light bars don't help with rocks or getting unstuck.

    Lottttttts of cutting to fit that. And other things you will have to do for a lift like that.

    What would be the best way to attack it? All I have for reference right now is my uncle and google...

    I'd use the search function here and do a bunch of reading.

    Also if your uncle is telling you to go with that tire size I'd stop listening to him.

    im new too but my research says that you need to "regear" the truck for tires bigger than 33 inches, you also need to cut the frame some to fit 33s and probably get a lift, it can get up to $4-5k total.

    I am going with a 2 inch leveling kit ($80) and 32" wheels on mine. There is no cutting or regear involved and it is much cheeper.

    Unless you’re mud-bogging, my guess is stick between 255 & 285.

    Get some good stock sized AT or offroad tires, and take it wheelin, you'd probably be surprised at what it can do. Unless you just want doodads.
